Religion

“The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend a personal God and avoid dogmas and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description.” ― Albert Einstein

In my ‘passionate curiosity’ on the teachings of spirituality, I find that spirituality does not rely on any specific religious teachings.

However, there are a lot of spiritual teachings that do take certain principles from religions.

You can be on a spiritual path or inner path but not be religious.

In my studies, I have found that Buddhism, Zen Buddhism are the closest religions that come to finding internal freedom.

This has only been in my experience up to this point, and I do NOT call myself a Buddhist, and don’t’ intend on ever being considered a Buddhist.

I have come to the realization that we all have from within us Buddha-nature.

Meaning, the same inner body sensation that the Buddha felt from his enlightenment is the same inner body sensation that you can feel because that knowing it is the source of all that is.

Siddhartha Gautama (The Buddha) became enlightened (thus, later known as “The Enlightened One”) when he sat under a tree for 7 days and meditated, until upon reaching enlightenment.

Enlightenment was directly correlated with Nirvana, the ultimate state of peace. Ultimate peace, my friends, is the ultimate freedom in this life.

The essence of how Siddhartha became enlightened through meditation is the very basic foundation of the most popular spiritual teachings in today’s day and age.

Mind

Every proclaimed spiritual master has spoken on the human mind and the nature of it.

These spiritual masters—from Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Advaita Vedanta, and Sufism—each have a common denominator, and that is on the topic of quieting the mind.

Finding that silent space from within is the key to inner peace amongst these eastern religious traditions.

Many of Einstein’s words have pointed to this truth.

“I think 99 times and find nothing. I stop thinking, swim in silence, and the truth comes to me.” ― Albert Einstein

Reconsider The Buddha becoming enlightened from meditation.

The very basic reality of meditation is to be in the present moment. And in order to be fully here, it takes silencing the mind.

And yet, the mind is itself noise. The mind can never be silent.

The purpose of the mind is to think; you can slow down the rate at which thoughts happen, but you cannot silence it completely, which is why in deep meditation, you have to lose the mind entirely, and once the mind is gone, for this moment and this moment only, there is pure silence from within.

This is why when it is said to silence the mind, you are not actually making the mind silent, but rather seeing through the noise. And upon through the noise, the mind vanishes.

It is in this pure silence where enlightenment is found— the absolute truth of reality.

Enlightenment is realizing the absolute truth, which is found by looking within, deep in the silence.

“I want to know God’s thoughts – the rest are mere details.” ― Albert Einstein

The interesting paradox here is that thoughts are something that humans utilize to grasp reality.

God, the unknown itself, the mysteriousness itself is ungraspable.

Meaning that thought cannot conclude what God actually is.

This is why the only way to know God is through the silence, through losing the mind, emptying out of all thought.

Why?

Because going deep into the silence means also going deep into the unknown.

Knowing outwardly means interpretation, knowing inwardly (silence) means not knowing because there is no-thing to know.

It can be called the knowing unknown.

“We should take care not to make the intellect our god; it has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality.” — Albert Einstein

Intellect is the ability and the capacity to use thought.

Einstein is saying that our ability and capacity to think has recreated a new world in every instant.

The human mind is creating new technological advances, new scientific inventions, new world discoveries at faster rates than ever before, and they are only getting faster.

However, what he is saying is that being so, the mind (the intellect) is still limited to time.

And because the mind is limited to time, it cannot comprehend God, which is eternal and also known as timelessness.

Even if the mind can’t comprehend what God is, we should not limit God, and thus, limit what we are in the absolute sense, which is also God itself & timelessness itself.

“My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.” ― Albert Einstein

This is yet another pointer talking about the limitations of the mind relative to consciousness.

Regardless of religious faith, let the foundation of your LIMITLESS spirit lead you on the pathless path of the journey towards the inner absolute truth, which is the spirit in and of itself.

Consciousness is when conscious presence is aware of itself.

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” — Albert Einstein

The intuitive mind in absolute reality is no mind at all.

Intuition is the answer that comes to you, in the silence, when there is no seeking for answers at all.

A great portion of the human race is still dominated by the thinking-mind.

We have made, what Einstein calls, the servant into our master.

The irony is that this sacred gift, intuition is something that has never been given, and will never go away because it is you.

This is why you cannot seek to have something that you already are, you have just come to earth to be reminded and to be guided by intuition AKA silent aware presence.

Time

“Time is an illusion.” ― Albert Einstein

It is only in the mind, however, that time is understandable, because outside of the mind, there is no time, in the absolute sense.

The universe is.

In absolute reality, there is nothing other than this eternal moment.

You can think about the present moment, but thinking will not bring you into the now. Your thought will be merely a concept.

Absolute presence can only happen when thought goes completely away.

“The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science.” ― Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein is referring to the mystery that your thinking-mind does not know.

Your mind knows the past.

Your mind knows the future.

This doesn’t mean that your mind can predict the future, but is its projector.

Einstein is referring to the mysteries of what the mind does not and cannot know, which is your inner body sensation that I am here.

What is happening is that your mind is dissolving into awareness.

Aware of what?

Of no-thing.

Spaciousness without becoming an object.

Vastness without becoming a thing.

No-thing itself is the unknown (the mysterious), and even these words will not explain it.

It is right here, out of nothing, where true science and true art are born.

“Life is a preparation for the future, and the best preparation for the future is to live as if there were none.” ― Albert Einstein

Rather than dwelling on the future, like every human mind wants to, to fuel itself, begin to make your main focus less mind dominated.

The less your life is dominated by the mind, the less it will be time dominated, and the future will take care of itself infinitely greater than mentally dwelling upon it.

The System

If you wanted to find somebody, who’s sole mission in life was to walk the furthest away from all established systems, look no further than Albert Einstein.

“The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education.” ― Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was not a fan of the education systems and was expelled from High School at the age of 16.

Education systems are about learning as much information (“knowledge”) as possible and utilizing that information.

Spirituality, on the other hand, is less about taking in more information, and more about learning about who/what you are in the absolute sense.

The education systems are extremely limited to dogmatic systems that have nothing to do with how peaceful in life we are or will become.

Albert Einstein knew that real learning is about understanding your emotions, your level of thinking, and, most importantly, about bringing expanded awareness into your being.

“Blind belief in authority is the greatest enemy of truth.” ― Albert Einstein

Authority can smash its beliefs into you and make you fearful that “If you do not listen to what I say, you will regret it.”

The key term ‘blind’ closely relates to the sheer lack of awareness, and unless someone is there to guide us to the path of inner awareness, the truth will continue to be hidden.

Lesson

The lesson, in all of this, is that Albert Einstein is considered one of the most intelligent human beings who has ever lived, relative to his ERA.

He’s certainly the most popular icon in science and there are many reasons why.

He wasn’t focused just on this physical dimension—on what we see as physical matter.

He brought the spiritual dimension and combined it with his scientific research and brought it to a level nobody had seen before.

The key for you to move forward is no matter what YOU DO, is to bring the spiritual dimension to it.

Bring conscious presence into what you are doing, and you will add a dimension to your doing, a higher conscious dimension, and, thus, push humanity to greater depths of peace.
